Our Congregation
If
you are looking for a church where you can find community, explore
your spirituality, and promote peace and justice in the world, COME VISIT US.
We're a liberal congregation with about seventy members,
drawn from diverse religious and cultural backgrounds, in the Loveland-Berthoud area.
We affirm the worth of every human being and welcome to our congregation
all persons without regard to age, gender, race, sexual orientation,
disability, or other class of exclusion.
Our Sunday
services typically combine music, meditation, and an inspirational
message from our minister or guest speaker. We also share personal
joys and sorrows. Afterwards, we join in our fellowship area
for refreshments and visiting.
At the Namaqua UU congregation you will
find a variety of children's classes (K-8th grade), all designed to encourage
children to appreciate their world with lessons about family, friends,
and neighbors. Teachers also help the children learn how to live
according to their beliefs. Nursery care is available for those
under the age of three.
The congregation shares in
dinners, picnics, and other social activities.
Small groups meet monthly for potluck suppers in one another's homes.
Throughout the year we engage in community service programs.
Our Sunday services
are at 9:00 am in the
church at 7th and Washington, in Loveland,
Colorado, which we share with the
Community of Christ.
